How Coach Reps handles athlete data.
Many athletes who use Coach Reps are minors. Here is what each person’s app shows, how accounts work, and what we never do with the data.
What each person’s app shows
Each app shows what fits the person: a coach’s own groups, or an athlete’s own training.
Coaches see their own groups
In the app, the head coach sets which groups each coach can see. A coach’s roster and program calendar show the athletes in those groups, and the head coach sees everyone.
Athletes see their own training
An athlete’s app shows their own program and the sets they log, never another athlete’s.
Sessions show once delivered
Athletes’ apps show a session only after the coach presses Deliver.
You choose how far ahead
Athletes’ apps show the next 7 days, up to 12 weeks ahead, or every date. The head coach sets it.
How chats start
Here is what the apps let coaches and athletes do with chats.
- On the web or on iPhone, a coach can start a chat with one athlete at a time
- The head coach can start one with any athlete at the facility
- An athlete’s app has no way to start a chat
- Neither app can start a group chat or a chat between two athletes
Accounts and sign-in
How accounts start
Coach Reps has no public sign-up page. We invite each facility’s first account ourselves. After that, the apps offer two ways in: an email invite or a group link from the facility. A group link works for 7 days.
Athletes under 18
The facility is responsible for getting a parent’s or guardian’s permission before a minor gets an account.
Deleting an account
Athletes can delete their account in the iPhone app: Profile, then Account Settings, then Delete Account. Coaches, facility owners and admins email us to delete theirs, and any athlete can too.
Parents can ask
A parent or guardian can ask us at any time to review, correct or delete their child’s information.
The services we use
Our privacy policy names these service providers and says what each one does. Information is encrypted while it travels and where it is stored.
- Supabase
- Hosts our database and handles sign-in.
- TalkJS
- Runs messaging, including messages and attachments.
- Apple Push Notification service
- Delivers notifications to iPhones.
- Stripe
- Processes payments from facilities. Athletes never pay through Coach Reps, and we don’t store card details.
On our team, only the people who need the data to run and support Coach Reps can get to it.
What we never do
- We don’t sell your information.
- We don’t use it for advertising.
- We don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- We don’t collect your location, your contacts or advertising identifiers.
- Our marketing pages set no cookies of their own.
